In Rome, law enforcement officers raided the office of the NGO “No Peace Without Justice”, headed by Niccolò Figa-Talamanca, one of the main suspects in the investigation of corruption in the European Parliament to lobby the interests of Qatar.

The searches took place on Tuesday, February 21, at the office of the organization, as well as at the home of the chief accountant, Antonella Casu, who was also interrogated in the presence of a lawyer. Investigative actions were carried out by the prosecutor’s office of Milan at the request of a pan-European investigation.
During the searches, several documents related to financing were seized.
Recall, Figa-Talamanca is one of four people who were arrested on charges of involvement in lobbying the interests of Qatar and Morocco in the European Parliament for money.
