Air Transat Promises to Make Morocco More Accessible for Canadians

Air Transat has announced an offer allowing Canadians to enjoy “unforgettable memories and authentic discoveries” in Morocco.

The offer packages include tours and excursions.

“Travelling is much more than a simple trip, it is an adventure that broadens our horizons,”  converging reports quoted Chief Sales and Marketing Officer At Transat Joseph Adamo as saying.

Adamo touted the airline’s offer for Morocco, stressing that this new product will pave the way for “unforgettable memories and authentic  discoveries.”

“Morocco has never been more accessible to Canadians,” he added.

As part of the program, the airline is offering five tours,  featuring several tourist destinations including Kasbah and Oasis, Marrakech, and Fez, as well as imperial cities and a Grand tour of Morocco.

The new announcement came after the signing of an agreement between Air Transat and Morocco’s National Office of Tourism (ONMT).

The agreement aims to launch an air route connecting Montreal and Marrakech starting from June of next year.

“Air Transat becomes the sole airline in North America offering direct flights to Marrakech,” the ONMT said in a previous statement, noting that the air route between Montreal and Morocco’s red city will operate twice a week in the summer.

ONMT further emphasized that Marrakech represents 24% of Canadian tourist arrivals in Morocco. The figure could reach 40% by becoming the primary departure city for tours or combined trips.
